Report at the base camp at Rumsu on your own and complete the registration process. Attend an orientation session to be given by the chief organizer/guide which will cover the information like rucksack packing, marching/walking technique and general awareness about the trek route. Comfortable stay is arranged at Rumsu(8200 ft) either in tents or wooden houses based on availability.
Rohtang pass is located at a height of 13000 feet and is at a distance of 51 kms from Manali, Rohtang Pass is on the highway to Keylong/Leh. In winters, the pass remains closed but is open from June to October for motor vehicles. This pass is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley. The snow-covered mountains provide the perfect opportunity to go skiing and snow scooter riding.
The snow clad Himalayas to verdant landscape and clear blue sky adds a touch of mystery to the place. Nestled in the lap of Parvati valley alongside the streaming and gurgling Parvati River, Kasol is a blessing for adventure buffs, trekkers and backpackers. The small town, Manikaran is located about 35 km from Manali. It attracts tourists visiting Manali and Kullu to its hot springs and pilgrim centers throughout the year.
Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,460m in the Kullu Valley. A panoramic view of Kullu and Paravati valleys can be seen from the temple. The 60 feet high staff of Bijli Mahadev temple glistens like a silver needle in the sun.
After few farewell speeches and gossips, participants have breakfast and say cheese for a quick photo shoot, arrangements are made for the checkout.
