Himalayan Summer Trekking Expedition Hampta Pass-2019

The Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most delightful treks in the Manali region of Himachal Pradesh, a state which is popular for its beautiful snow clad mountains. The Hampta pass trail connects two beautiful valleys namely Kullu and Lahaul, thus one gets to experience an ever changing set of landscapes all throughout the trail which is filled with scenic landscapes, open green pastures and meadows and pristine glacial valleys which makes the trail to Hampta pass a super exciting one. The trek might not be one that give a huge adrenaline rush , but it definitely is a trek that will leave you in awe of this picturesque place. It is a moderate grade trek and is recommended for both the experienced and the novice who wish to experience first hand a high altitude Himalayan trek.

Report at the base camp at Manali on your own and complete the registration process. Attend an orientation session to be given by the chief organizer/guide which will cover the information like rucksack packing, marching/walking technique and general awareness about the trek route. Comfortable stay is arranged at Manali(6000 ft) either in tents or wooden houses based on availability.
Participants start early and board a jeep, and are driven from Manali to Jobra, from where the trek actually starts. After a gradual steep ascent, participants reach Chikka Campsite in around 4 hours. Tents are set up at Chikka(10,200 ft) for a cozy overnight stay. (6 km, 4 hours)
Participants start trek to Bhalu ka Ghera trailing through lush green forests crossing beautiful water streams. Participants undertake a steep climb to Juara and then gradually climb up to the camp site at Bhalu ka Ghera. Overnight stay is arranged at Bhalu ka Ghera(11,600 ft) in comfortable camps. (6 km, 5 hours)
a. Participants wake up early and embark on the journey to their destination i.e Hampta Pass, a 3 km trail which takes them through few steep climbs. From Hampta Pass one can see the majestic Indrasan Peak and its gigantic glacier. (3 km, 3 hours) b. After spending a while at the pass, participants start their descent towards Siagoru. Participants reach Saigoru after a 4 hour descent. (5 kms, 4 hours).
Participants start off with a gentle downhill climb through the Hampta Valley. The massive mountains of the Pir Panjal and Spiti ranges dominate the entire landscape during the Hampta Pass Trek till the camp site at Chatru. The route might get slippery at times. After reaching Chatru, Participants are made to board a vehicle and driven to Manali
After few farewell speeches and gossips, participants have breakfast and say cheese for a quick photo shoot, arrangements are made for the checkout.

ID Proof, YATA-India booking receipt, original medical certificate stating your fitness & two passports sized photographs are a must to enter the Base Camp. Without these documents, participants will not be allowed to proceed further at the Base Camp.
