Chanderkhani Pass is one of the most popular trails in the Shivalik Range. This trail located mainly in the Kullu Valley, is laden with a bunch of beautiful alpine pastures offering eye feasting views of Deo Tibba peak, Pir Panjal and the Parbati mountain range. One can experience the mountain culture of the Himachal throughout the trek. A typical trek up in the hills of Himachal Pradesh, Chanderkhani Pass is one those Himachal trekking packages that is ideal for all trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Report at the base camp at Rumsu on your own and complete the registration process. Attend an orientation session to be given by the chief organizer/guide which will cover the information like rucksack packing, marching/walking technique and general awareness about the trek route. Comfortable stay is arranged at Rumsu(8200 ft) either in tents or wooden houses based on availability.
Participants are transferred by jeep at Malana bridge and the day's trek begins from this point towards Malana Camp with a comfortable trail filled with lush green forests. The trail turns a bit rocky as one starts to climb uphill. After a 5-6 hour trek participants reach Malana Camp. Tents will be set up at Malana(8700 ft) for a comfortable overnight stay. (9 km, 6 hrs)
Kickstart early in the morning and begin the trek towards Whaching Thatch. The trail is pretty easy with some ups and downs along with the river Malana. Walking through the fields and forests for around 5 hours, participants then reach Whaching Thatch. Tents are set up at Whaching(9500 ft) for a cozy overnight stay. (10 km, 5 hrs)
The trail from Whaching Thatch to Nagruni is relatively tough when compared to the previous days, but it is definitely worth the sweat. On reaching the Nagruni campsite, the magnificent view of the mountains simply puts all the energy you spent on the day back into you. Tents are pitched at Nagruni camp(10,000 ft) and participants are advised to sleep early to compensate for the next day’s early start. (8kms, 4hrs).
Get up early and start a steep trek through the snow. The view is simply breath taking. After spending sometime at the top i.e. Chanderkhani Pass(11,400 ft), participants start the descent through the snow and reach the valley after a short walk. On reaching Chaklani campsite(10,200 ft), tents are set up for the overnight stay. (13kms, 7hrs)
The descent from Chaklani camp to Rumsu is quite an easy one. After reaching Rumsu Village, camp is set up at Rumsu(7200 ft) for overnight stay. (7km, 3hrs)
After few farewell speeches and gossips, participants have breakfast and say cheese for a quick photo shoot, arrangements are made for the checkout.

ID Proof, YATA-India booking receipt, original medical certificate stating your fitness & two passports sized photographs are a must to enter the Base Camp. Without these documents, participants will not be allowed to proceed further at the Base Camp.
